Larissa Longchamp

I’ve been fortunate to call the warm and inviting community of Parkway Village home, along with my son, since January of 2020. Born and raised in Northern Virginia, I’ve made New York- and more specifically Queens-home since moving on to the campus of St. Johns as an undergraduate over 20 years ago.

In my professional life, my background is in Financial Services. I spent several years in the community lending space, where I helped homebuyers qualify for and navigate the home purchase process and promoted access to affordable programs for low and moderate-income and first-time homebuyers. I now lead community engagement for a major financial institution working across the New York Tri-State area in partnership with local non-profit organizations, driven by my passion for financial inclusion, community development, and service to under resourced and marginalized communities. In both my professional and professional capacities, I have the privilege of serving on the boards of multiple non-profit organizations. I have my B.A. from St. John’s University in Government and Politics and am an MBA candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I expect to complete my degree 2026.

I first visited Parkway Village over 10 years ago, curious about a duplex unit I had seen online even though I was nowhere near ready to buy a home. I loved the peaceful charm of the green grounds and the cozy unit interiors. It felt like a special place, but I had no idea I would end up living here. Years later, I moved into a rental in building 72 and appreciated Parkway even more for its beauty and diversity. I later bought my first home here in 2022. I value this community, its history, and its unique character. I am excited about joining the Parkway Village Board of Directors and look forward to collaborating with the existing board members, management, staff, and our neighbors to steward this special community in a responsible and sustainable way.
